Power Tripp's Taboo Tartan RPT, FDX
AKA: Taboo, Tabooski, Whosataboo
DOB: March 24, 2007
Taboo is out of our Bearded Collie X Border Collie litter. Taboo is a FUN dog to work with...he is the perfect combo of Border Collie intensity and work ethic and a little Beardie bounce thrown in for good measure. He is a major Frisbee nut and gets HUGE air!! Taboo just started competing in Flyball and is looking great! His Agility training is all coming along well and I am excited about actually getting to compete with him! His favorite thing to do outside of training is to swim...maybe Dock Jumping is in his future as well! Taboo always makes me smile and is the perfect "big dog" to use to socialize the puppies because he so patient and careful with them.
Bearded Collies and Border Collies both come from similar bloodlines and you can trace back pedigrees to many combinations of the working "bearded" farm dog to smooth faced Border Collies. These pedigrees include some of the most well known Border Collies in history. The largest difference is in the working style of the two dogs. Beardies use what is a called a loose eye/huntaway herding style and Border Collies use 'eye' to move stock. Both are gathering dogs that can also be used for driving stock. The combo of the two together makes for a multi purpose working farm dog. For more information on the history of true working Bearded Collies as well as photos please follow the links provide below.
